Treasurer Tom Moore and Director John Porter have been working diligently in the POA office to correct errors in our recent Financial Statements.  They have made great progress and gaining new insight into the management of Diamondhead.

President Suzzi Combs opened the meeting by recognizing the many volunteer hours that were donated by Diamondhead residents during the Christmas Day Storm.  Suzzi is keeping a record of volunteer hours to request State Storm Relief Assistance.  Please send your name and hours of service to Suzzi at suzzicombs@yahoo.com

Burned out House

One of the tragities of the Christmas Day Storm was a home that was burnt down.  The fire department was not able to get to the house in time due to all the downed trees.  Many volunteers were despartely cutting a path through the trees with chain saws, to no avail. 

Diane,

Evelyn Neal and her family and I want to thank everyone who has taken things to them to get their lives together again. Many people here in Diamondhead have helped and the family really appreciates it.

They are still in need of beds. Any size. If you only have a mattress, it is better than the floor. If anyone is thinking of getting a new washer and dryer and don't want to have to pay to remove their old ones, we have a trailer to pick them up and deliver to the Neal's.

Many individuals were out helping other residents Christmas night. Several members are working on their own clearing trees from in front of their homes + driveways. We need your name for our records. Many Thanks to all who offered their time and talents to Diamondhead.

Fire Chief Matt Simpson

Good News!
Matt Simpson has accepted a Full Time position as Fire Chief for Lake Hamilton area.

Please pray for Matt regarding health issues.

Work Crews

WOW!  Thank you!!!
We had 45+ individuals show up this morning at the Club House ready for Work!
Chief Joel Tyner divided us up into work crews and gave us our instructions.
Eddie gave some pertinent safety information and said a prayer before we headed out.

Fire Chief Matt Simpson and his Crew passed out hard hats & safety vests.  Their Fire Truck was available on site.  Special request for prayer for Fire Chief Matt Simpson *

Each Crew was sent out to various hard hit areas of Diamondhead.  Lunch was served at the 19th Hole.  Great hamburger & fries!
The day ended at 3:30

Special Note:  The burn piles are available for all residents who wish to deposit their debris.  The Volunteer Workers have been instructed not to trespass on private property.

Some workers will not be able to join us again tomorrow.  So, replacements are welcome.
We will be meeting at the 19th Hole at 7:30am

Victims of Burned House

Diane,

On Christmas day, a family with a 63 year old mother and 3 teen sons house burned down. They have moved to 106 Pineapple and can use anything. They lost everything and had no insurance coverage.

PLEASE ask Diamondhead to rally and help. The boys are Medium, Large & Extra Large.

They need sheets, beds, towels, pots, pans, furniture, food, money. Everything a household would need to start over.

We have a trailer here and can pick up anything if people can't get their donations to them, we will come and pick it up for them.

Please call Sharon Carr if you need us to pick up donations for them at 545-0433.

I know how generous the people of Diamondhead can be so lets all pull together and help these people.
