Coyote Problem in Diamodhead!
This excerpt was taken from the Town Meeting of October 20th. Please be aware of the Coyote Problem!
Rick Noffsinger: “I have never seen coyotes as aggressive as they are here in Diamondhead. I have personally seen two big coyotes take down a full grown deer. When you are walking at night by yourself, or with small children, be alert. We do have a problem. These coyotes that I saw are not your normal, everyday coyote. They have been cross-breed with some other large dog. They are wild. We are addressing the issue. Keep your pets inside at night. They are coming into your yards at night and in the day time. I am telling you to be cautious.”

Message from President Rick Noffsinger
“Dues Increase?”
The demographics of Diamondhead has changed. We have retired seniors that are on fixed incomes and working families that have tight budgets due to the current economy. This is the main reason the Board has taken immediate measures to make certain cuts and to do without in some areas. We could do nothing and hit everyone with a dues increase early in 2012. However, we for see more homes going up for sale and a lot of disgruntled residents if we follow that plan. Not everyone that lives in Diamondhead is financially secure. Some of our happiest people in Diamondhead don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have. We will continue to make decisions that are right for the community and be careful not to be influenced by the few.
The short falls in the 19th Hole and the Country Club are acknowledged by this Board. Improvements will be made. We are not perfect or problem-free. It is a work in progress. Some residents have been cruel & unethical - offering their own spin on the facts. This is not OK.
I welcome all comments and opinions. I’ve never learned anything from someone who agreed with me. I will be available at the 19th Hole every Thursday evening between 5 and 7:PM if you wish to meet with me.
It is our intent Not to raise the dues in 2012!
For the working section of Diamondhead the POA office will be open on Tuesday’s until 6:00 PM.
Sincerely,
Rick Noffsinger

Town Meeting - 10/20/11
Meeting was opened by President Rick Noffsinger.
"One last item: There has been concern as to how our cash flow would play out toward the end of the year. We have a new cash flow analysis that shows we will level out at the end of the year. So, it looks like what we saw in September with the things we have going on the rest of the year, keeping a real close watch on everything that we are going to get by okay this year. That cash flow analysis does not take into account the $41,000 in contingency funds that we hold back in case of emergencies. I think we can safely say that we are going to get through this year without borrowing money thanks to the fine work that has been done by our employees.
An announcement was made regarding the Trunk or Treat Party on Monday, October 31st 6:pm. Please see the Bulletin Board Page located on the right side column of this Report.
Treasurer’s Report – Tom Lockette
Paraphrased: We finally have a month that looks pretty good. Todd started and Sarah is continuing to cut costs. Please see Financial Highlights posted. 19th Hole – a big improvement. Gross profit margin up to 66% 13,341.00 which more than paid for salaries and food costs. The Guys and Dolls Tournament made money, as well as making money for the 19th Hole."One last item: There has been concern as to how our cash flow would play out toward the end of the year. Family Fun Center - Up date
I had a pleasant visit with Larry & Reba Brown on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Mr. Brown explained his background with Cooper Corp. & Hot Springs Village, as well as his connections with Diamondhead. When asked about the Diamondhead Condo Hotel / Family Fun Center:
"We are right on Target. We want to open this up when the economy is on an up-swing. God is in charge, and he will direct us." Larry Brown

President Rick Noffsinger
This is Rick Noffsinger's response to my request for commits regarding the recent allegations of impropriety on the part of the President by other Board members.
Diane, I believe it is everyone’s right to voice their opinion. I do not fear your blog site like many others do. I have nothing to hide and no hidden agendas. To date I have been truthful and honest with this community. Go to Faye and ask her if she physically observed me being inappropriate on the morning of the 23rd, or is she getting her information second hand? To my knowledge I did not see Faye the morning of the 23rd. I did meet with the new General Manager and some of the Diamondhead employees to introduce them to the new person in charge.
I have no further comments on this issue and I apologize to all of Diamondhead community and employees that are involved in this situation. My intentions are to protect the employees to the best of my abilities and at the same time be honest with the community. I am limited with information I can provide you concerning employees and must follow the law. The rights of employees must be protected.
I have to commend Sarah Dawson for her integrity and professionalism she has demonstrated during this unfortunate situation.
I must also apologize to my wife and best friend Lynn, who has had to endure the attacks on my character and our home. Somehow , we will get through this.
I love Diamondhead. I have chosen this position and I would not be here if there were no support. I promise to make decisions that is in the best interest to all Diamondhead and not just a few. To my knowledge and the Diamondhead Attorney, I have acted within the guide lines of our by-laws.
