DPOA Director JoAnn Rhodes response to resident / member Charles Emrick:

Chuck Emrick has every right to know, as does the members in DH who voted for me, about why I was dismissed from the board.

My situation was a whole lot of straws that the last one broke the camel’s back.  Use your imagination if you want to and come up with anything (other than stealing) that you can think of.  The remaining board members are, for the most part, good individuals.

The one thing that members need to know:  every time someone  remarks about employees it is one more reason for the GM to claim “Hazard work place environment”.  So that being said, lets close the door on my two months on this board. 

I have laughed and felt better since I started running for this board back in April.   No time during  that time have I felt like I was better than anyone else or above anyone else. 

I would like to thank every one who voted for me.  I am NOT leaving this community.  I will still give donations to all  the committees and golf tournaments like I have done in the past.

Arkansas State Open Meeting Laws

Director Gordon Moore asked where does it say in the By Laws what can be done in Executive session.  "Can you find that for me in writing?"

Here is the answer:

DH By Laws~ Article II, Section 6.  Parliamentary Rules   Robert's Rules of Parliamentary Procedures shall govern and control all matters not specifically covered by these By Laws.

Diamondhead's All American Bowl Candidate

Nicholas Prichard, son of Steven Prichard 
of Malvern and Kelly Purifoy of Diamondhead
has been chosen to play in the DMAXX Youth
All American Bowl in Myrtle Beach SC.  
He was chosen as one of the top 70 8th graders across the United States to 
play in this prestigious game and has been selected as a Pre Game
"All Diamond Team" member which means he is picked to have 
major impact during the game.  Nicholas will report to Myrtle Beach 
Dec. 30th to spend a week practicing and training with the nations
elite athletes.     He is an 8th grader at Magnet Cove Jr. High and 
helped the Jr Panthers to their first  5 2A conference championship.  
Not only is Nicholas a great athlete he also maintains a 4.0 GPA in
his classes.  

Even though Nicholas was chosen to play in this game the family
incurs all the expenses and are currently trying to raise the funds. 
An account is set up at Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union
under Nicholas Prichard's name. Any donations will be greatly 
appreciated to get this young man to Myrtle Beach. If you would like
