Rick Noffsinger is encouraging you to VOTE !

Here is your opportunity! VOTE!
It’s not going to be long now. Soon the nominating committee will be counting the votes and Diamondhead will have 3 new board of directors. If you have not turned in your ballots please do so. Your vote counts.
Food costs up 57% the last few years. Entergy up 34%. Insurance costs have sky rocketed and now the government has threaten to attack the Senior benefits. Crime is on the increase. Let’s face it, the economy suck’s. Guess what? We live in our own society here in Diamondhead. Diamondhead is a very unique place to live. Diamondhead is one big family that has its own problems and battles, but at the end of each day all our troubles seem to disappear.
My love for Diamondhead is unconditional. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
Please vote for your favorite candidate. It’s your turn to shine!

Katherine Denow - Candidate for the Board of Directors

I was saddened but not surprised to see that secret meetings between select board members is still the norm. I really don't understand the rational, but then I'm a very open person. I understand that people have their "pet projects" or special interests, but we really need all the people represented. I have stated my "pet projects" for all to hear and will restate them here for all to see. I want our dues to be as low as possible, and our property values to be as high as possible. We lack a few things which tend to turn away some prospective home buyers, and truthfully I would like these things myself. These are a reliable television cable company, high speed internet, and a bank. Hey, a Chinese take out and a pizza parlor would be good too, but we've got to start somewhere.

I know that many people think I am anti-golf course. This is one of those vicious rumors that was started to discredit me as a candidate. I PLAY GOLF!!! I haven't had the time lately, but I do love the golf course and I do play (but not very well). I also swim, so I am not anti-pool either.

If I am elected, I can promise everyone that I will keep them posted on any progress I make in my quest for cable, high speed internet and a bank branch. In fact, if I make ANY progress, I will shout it from the housetops!
To reiterate, the present board is far too one sided. We need people on the board who represent the rest of the community. I know I always have and I always will.

Candidate for the Board - Katherine Denow

Board Candidate Katherine Denow

My name is Dr Katherine Denow.  I served on the Diamondhead Board of Directors in the past and would like to be considered again.  I live in Diamondhead and have a private practice on Carpenter Dam Road as most of you know.  I own my home here and also am a lot owner, so I well understand the concerns of both the home owners and the lot owners.  Before moving here I was an "absentee" owner so I also understand the problems with that scenario.  My basic concerns for Diamondhead is keeping the dues at an affordable level,  Unfortunately, I feel that the high dues level for lot owners is keeping many people from purchasing lots and building new homes.  We need to decrease the inventory of lots and houses available for sale if we ever expect the value to increase.  Speaking to people who are looking at lots and homes, I have found that they do not consider Diamondhead because of the high dues and other fees we pay. We need to find a way to change this.
We also need a decent cable company with internet availability.  When I last served on the board, I tried to address this, but my term expired and no one carried on the fight.  I will pick up this fight if re-elected.  I already have the information, I just need the authority.

Rick Noffsinger - Candidate for the Board of Directors

Please vote this year!

We have three POA Board members leaving office.  All the Diamondhead property owners will receive ballots in July.  You may cast a vote for one of the five candidates that are running for the three vacant positions.  History has demonstrated that a small percentage of property owners will actually fill out the ballet and mail it back to the POA office. Please, it is very important that you vote this year!
Our economic times call for some serious budget planning and decision making to protect your hard earned money: POA Dues.  The trickle-down effect from high fuel prices will affect us tremendously in Diamondhead and we need to have elected representatives on the POA Board that have the fore sight and motivation to be accountable with your money.  We must plan ahead and be ready for any type of emergency situation that could break our bank, “if not prepared”.   In today’s economy we have to plan for the “what if” happens, and still manage everyday business operations.  Diamondhead POA money is big business!

Byron Efird - Candidate for the Board

First off I want to thank the Board members who will be coming off this year for their hard work and their time they put in for our community. Secondly, I have made my decision to run for the Board of Directors this year. If elected I promise to always make my decisions on what is right for the Diamondhead residents.

Rick Noffsinger - Candidate for the Board

Do you know me?

Hello Diamondhead. I have submitted my name to run for the POA Board this coming election. We have 3 super hard working Board members that are coming off the Board and they will be hard to replace. The present economy has our working environment hard hit by increased workloads and less pay. So far we have been blessed in Diamondhead and have not seen a lot of the affects. However, with the increased fuel prices everything else goes up and I feel it important that the new members elected to the POA Board are willing to work as hard as the members going off.
