Subject: Water Treatment Town Hall
In My Opinion
On Monday night, February 28, 2011, I attended the Town Hall meeting in room 104 of the Civic Center. The topic of discussion, as Hot Springs City Manager and panel moderator, Lance Hudnell so unctuously pointed out, was the proposed Water Treatment Plant. The room was filled to capacity and the natives were restless.

Water Treatment Plant - Meeting 2-28-11
A point of concern.
Following is information from the February 28, 2001 public town meeting of the Hot Springs Water and City Council. It consists of specific information regarding new water facilities for the water district.
I noted there were 130 plus residents, many from Garland County, outside the city, were present. An estimated 10 percent of the total was from a housing development in the area wanted for the installation of the new facility. Three were from Diamondhead and none from Riviera Utilities or the people trying to buy the company. I find this strange as it concerns the water quality for Diamondhead. These people should be concerned and involved.

Water Treatment Plant
I'm sending this because it could effect Diamondhead. The public utilities has spent $4,000,000.00 for a study to determine a new location of fresh water for the Hot Springs water system. The selected site was not approved by the state health department but the Utilities Dept. insists on building a water plant there.Just FYI
