Chief Joel Tyner would like to give 2012 a good head start with positive information for all parents and children of Diamondhead.

On Tuesday, December 20^th, 7: pm, in the Club House, we will have Juvenile Awareness Night.

Curfew time:  Under the age of 16 ~ M - Th 8:30pm  Weekends 10:pm 
                         16 -17years of age ~ M-Th 10:pm  Weekends 11:pm
State Park Curfew is 10:pm for everyone.

Dear Diamondhead Board Members

Dear Board Members,

Diamondhead's fiscal budget is currently being discussed by our Finance Committee and will soon be presented to the DPOA Board.  Each of you were elected by the members of this community.  Please listen to this congressman from PA. with Diamondhead's budget in mind.  Click on the link below to view Congressman Mike Kelly.

Here are some quotes that directly relate to Diamondhead's financial position:

• Quit spending money we don't have.
• This happened on our watch, it has to be fixed on our watch.
• Quit pointing the finger to the other side.
• You want to fix (Diamondhead)?  Lets work together to fix (Diamondhead).  We keep telling people 'we have the money'.  We don't have the money.
• What if the only thing you had to worry about is 'Righting the Ship', and getting (Diamondhead) back on course?  We are past the Midnight Hour.  We are whistling going past the grave yard.  It's got to be fixed.
• It must be by-partisan, because it won't work any other way.  Don't make promises we can't keep.

The Executive Session called by two members of the Board was to meet at 6:30 this evening.  Byron Efird, Faye Taylor, Charles Wood, & Keith Harrison met at the 19th Hole.  This did not represent a quorum.  The meeting could not be held.

Fact:  The Hot Springs Sentinal Record printed the police report of Officer Joshua Cannon the arresting officer in this case.  The police report left out alot of information and nonfactual comments.

Friday Night Fight - Update

The DPOA Board of Directors met last evening, in Executive Session, to discuss the events of December 9th.  "The Board has taken appropriate action and has implemented change.  So, it will not happen again." Rick Noffsinger - Board President

We had an unfortunate situation occur Friday night at the Country Club. Apparently there were altercations that happened inside the Club that started a large fight outside the Club in the parking lot. The altercations did not take place in the 19th Hole. From what I have been informed it started in the big room at the Country Club and continued to progress outside in the front parking lot.
Someone dialed 911 and we had several Officers from the outside come to our assistance. Joel was notified immediately and arrived on site the same time the other Officers arrived. I am writing this memo to be posted in the blog due to the fact everyone who reads it will get the word out to others.

Beautification Committee

Many Thanks to the Youth Committee for putting together the Luminary event for 2011 Season!!! 
Community volunteers joined together today,on the 17th, and adorned Diamondhead Drive with luminaries
 that provide our neighborhood a spectacular, shining pathway at dusk for all to behold & reflect upon.
 (Also check out the #1 Hole area for another spectacular luminary display).
Thanks to all volunteers.
