Agenda Meeting 2-9-12

The Board met in Executive Session to elect their candidate for the 9th position.  There were 10 candidates running:
  1. Diane Jones                                 6. Theresa Cummings
  2. Char Donnelly                             7. Mary Pracht
  3. Joe Claflin                                   8. Katherine Denow
  4. JoAnn Rhodes                             9. Susie Combs
  5. Kevin Roth                                 10. Kim DeFilippis
[We will have 5 positions open for next summer’s annual election.  I hope all these candidates and more will be running for office.  Diamondhead needs strong, competent individuals who will look out for our best interests.]

Our newest member of the Board is Joe Claflin.  John Porter was chosen as Treasurer and Dan Munroe is our new Vice President.

Members present:
President Rick Noffsinger                 Doc Norwood
Vice President Dan Munroe              Ray Massey
Secretary Jack Watson                     Keith Harrison
Treasure John Porter                        Faye Taylor

GM Sarah Dawson
Joe Claflin will be sworn in at the Town Meeting next week.

Topics to be discussed at the Town Meeting:

ACC – permits to be protected from the weather – additional fee
  • Golf Carts - $25.00 annual fee for all golf cart owners – to go to the golf trail management – 4-wheel RVs using the golf trails
  • Private Pool Parties – 68 private parties were held last year.  Expenses for clean up, repair to facility, & cost of general up-keep exceeded the $10 per hour fee.  The Finance Committee has requested that the Board set the fee at $25.00 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours.  Plus an additional charge for all clean-up & repair needed.
  • DRC advertising – Bill Boards outside the gates.
  • 120 Pebble Beach is requesting an H-2 status for a possible future building to be set on adjacent property that will not be connected to the home.  There is a 20 foot Utility easement between the two properties.
Rick asked if there were any other topics to be brought before the Board.  It was not mentioned, but I think an update regarding the status of the Club House Fire Code Safety issue would be appreciated.

Meeting adjourned.
