The meeting began just after 7:pm with the announcement of the new DPOA Board memberà Sharon Carr.  Vice President Ken Benck led Sharon as she took the oath of office.  Congratulations Sharon!

New Sales Person:
The POA has recently hired Kara Matthews as a sales person to increase golf membership and ‘outside’ play / tournaments.
  • Ms. Matthews will be receiving 10% commission as reimbursement.
  • Past experience:  Developing Director of Mid America Science Museum
  • Currently going back to school for Human Behavior Specialist.


Water Board MeetingLake Catherine Water & Sewage
President Mary Pracht met with LCWSJB / Riveria Director, Jack Plumlee, in an effort to organize a Special meeting to answer property owner’s question regarding the lack of water pressure, dark color, and other concerns related to Diamondhead’s water supply.  Jack Plumlee’s answer to this request:  “They haven’t decided whether they want to do anything or not.”

·       John Combs stated that any individual property owner is welcome to call Riveria Utilities’ office with questions:  262-2620

Fire Dues:
In an effort to relay factual data regarding the payment of individual property fire dues, the following information is re-posted from 2013:  Lake Hamilton Fire department dues Increase

President Mary Pracht attends all Lake Hamilton Fire Protection meetings as a representative of Diamondhead.  It is clear that the current handling of Fire dues payments is in the best interest of the property owners according to her statements.  “Our annual dues would need to be raised $90-100 just for the LHFP annual dues.”

Freedom of Information Act:  “…does not apply to Diamondhead,” stated Mary Pracht.  Diamondhead is a ‘private’ entity.  We do not receive ‘public’ funding.
Question:  Does the Horizontal Property Act apply?

'Police Shooting'/ Chambliss vs. DPOA Court date:
New Judge - J. John Linberger - has been assigned to this case as of Jan. 9th, 2015
Court dates are not known at this time.

Golf Greens Donation ~ $4,600.00 will go before the Board on Thursday, Jan. 22nd.

Traffic Codes ~ A Formal acceptance / adoption of Arkansas traffic codes will be decided during the Board meeting Thurs. Jan. 22,2015.  This action will give our Police Department authority to issue tickets in Diamondhead.

2015/2016 Budget:  Treasurer John Porter & GM James Turner have begun working on next year's financial budget

Resort Cable:  A survey and count of DH community homes is currently underway.  Completed results / answers 'will take a while'.

President Mary Pracht thanked those DH members who called the POA office to express their interest in becoming a member of the Board of Directors for Diamondhead.

GM James Turner:  Directors Diane Jones & Suzie Combs requested tree limbs be removed on Independence Drive before the possibility of an ice storm enters our area.
