Town Meeting – April 23, 2015

Announcements: 
New Gate Hours:  6:am à 8:pm
Sundays: 8:am à 8:pm
Keep gate card/keys & clickers in car and available due to possible gate closure when officer is called away.
 


* Last week’s road closures by police was due to a suicide in DH.

Committee Reports:

ACC – Sharon Carr:  8 open permits

StandardsDebbie Clement: 4 completed complaints, 9 still open

Safety – Ken Benck:  New gate system is being researched / Slide gate vs. Lift Arm system.  The first bid for a slide gate is $27,000 / includes full options that may not be needed. Committee is waiting for a 2nd bid to come in. 
Youth – Diane Jones: Yard Sale à Saturday, April 25 @ 8:am
            Set-up begins Friday April 24th (TODAY) @ noon in the Club House.  Bring your contributions at this time.  Thanks !

Legal Issue: 
Ensminger Case has been dismissed.  Jerry Chambliss & Cindy Nelson have one year to re-file.

Police Report:


Collections:  POA office has collected $15,500 from DRC and $2,850 from Carlton collection agency since January 1st à present.
                    
OLD BUSINESS

Rabies Clinic – Diane Jones:  Last Saturday was the first annual Rabies Clinic for Diamondhead.  Thank you to Dave Smith / All Creatures Animal Hospital
  • 42 cats & dogs received their vaccine
  • 30 received a full vet check
  • Next Annual Event:  March 11th, 2016


ATVs:  No ATVs allowed in DH due to the adoption of the Arkansas Traffic Rules

Lions Club Presentation / Hiking Trails:  DH does not own the ‘right of way’ under the Power Lines.  Hiking trails are no longer an issue for discussion.

NEW BUSINESS

Storage Room:  The Youth, Social & Beautification committees have been given permission to begins plans for the use of a storage area near the golf carts.

POS System upgrade:  The Board has approved the purchase of a POS Window’s upgrade.

Golf Course Irrigation:  $8,472 approved

Golf Fee Increase: An increase in Membership fees as approved during the Board meeting.  Family membership went up $100.00, Single membership went up $50.00.

19th Hole:  Grease trap problem has not, yet, been resolved.

Golf Marshall - volunteers requested … will receive 9 holes of free golf.

18th Hole Culver: This recently replaced culvert is sinking due to excessive rain.  Discussion involved the possibility of turning this expense of $6-8,000.00 into a New Hazard for the course. 

Special Assessment:  The 2015-16 Budget was approved with the increase of revenue of $80,000 expected.  This assessment was approved during the Board meeting. 
  • $100 assessment for homeowners
  • $15 assessment for lot owners
  • Director Sharon Carr voted against this motion

Foreclosures:  Foreclosures have begun on Delinquent Home Owners.  Click on the picture to view those who are delinquent in their annual dues:  This list has been removed - see this link.

    • Gas carts increase of $25.00
    • Electic carts increase of $50.00
  • COLA Index increase in golf memberhip dues -
    •  approved  with Larry Hibbs voting NO.
  • Special Assessment:
    • $100 for homeowners
    • $15 for lot owners
    • Option to pay $50 on July 1st and $50 on October 1st
    • Approved, with Sharon Carr voting NO.
