Agenda Meeting 10-14-10

Agenda Meeting 10-14-10
Second Thursday of the Month, 10am, Club House Library
Open to the public

Meeting was attended by:
President Ray Massey              Secretary Jack Watson
Treasurer Tom Lockette           Director Charles Wood
Director Betts Winsor
General Manager Eric Markle
Observer Jerry McAnear

GM Eric Markle was commended for the delicious dinners that have been served at the 19th Hole on Friday nights. GM Markle plans to increase the number of plates served to accommodate the increase in members using our dinning facility.

GM Markle has been attending as many of the committee meetings as possible.
The Public Safety Committee – Liaison Charles Wood, has constructed a list of recommendations to present to the Board. This list was reviewed by Director Massey and GM Markle. There was general agreement that these recommendations should be (with some modification) accepted and implemented by the Board.

To review the Public Safety recommendations you may click on Committee Page “Public Safety Committee” on the Right side of The Committee Report.

"One other thing that will happen from now on… the Chief of Police and the General Manager will approve all hirings and firings down at the security gate…… To make sure # 1 is getting done (#1 on the list of recommendations from the Public Safety Committee).” GM Markle.

Number One states: Employee information: Names of employees; Experience and training; Previous work experience in Security; Background check; Work hours; Pay scale; Job Responsibilities

The schedule for Agenda, Town, & Board meetings will be backed up by one week for the month of November (because of Thanks Giving) -> First, Second and Third Thursdays of the month.  Please check the Calendar of Events on The Committee Report - Right side column

Community Standard’s Rules and Regulations –

When a complaint is given – than you act on it. “In my opinion that is all that needs to be done. If there is somebody who lives on a cul-da-sack over here …, and wants to trash his place up, and doesn’t have a neighbor, who cares?” Tom Lockette

Do you want to fine people for non-compliance ? “That would be something the Board would have to look at and study, and it certainly would be on a first offence.” Ray Massey

“I don’t have a problem with enforcing the law of cleanliness rule….That is the general manager’s job… This shows that Diamondhead cares about the people that live here…” Eric Markle

A communication board will be installed in the Club House near the water fountains. This communication board will include who is using the rooms, at what time, etc. And will be a ‘Communication Central’ for all of Diamondhead. All notices will go through the general manager before being placed on the board.

The ACC needs members !

Doc Norwood came in as the meeting was breaking up.
