Board Meeting 10-28-10

President Massey opened the meeting –

Minutes from Sept. 23 were approved.

Treasurer’s Report by Ray Massey:
We are taking in more money, cash on hand, at this time ….. We are doing well at the 19th Hole as far as income. I did find that our guest play, thus far this year, we have nearly 6,000 rounds of guest play – last year was 5,000 rounds. …which means our income of our golf course is picking up. This was presented in full at the Town Meeting.

Jim Hannon asked the Finance Committee – Frank Polkamp- if he knew the status of a foreclosure due to neglect of dues. Mr. Polkamp did not know the answer.

Lion’s Club donation of a curtain to cover the Bingo Board - approved.

New Business:
Duane Mountain’s proposal regarding “for sale” signs on lots.
Jack Watson presented his idea of making these signs more permanent. …adding these names to a list that can be referred to at the POA office. “According to our regulation for signs, even realtor signs are not suppose to be up for more than 3 days.”
Mary Pracht stated that the POA should not be involved with this process. If we rule to allow signs, than these who have the signs will be responsible for the maintenance issue, or their rights to post a sign will be revoked.
Mr. Massey stated that this issue needed more review before it could be voted on.

Dog Barking Issue
Betts Winsor asked the general manger for an update regarding the Dog Barking issue. Eric’s response: Yes, we have 2 complaints on file with another in process. We are trying to negotiate with the home owners who work for Hot Springs police.
