The meeting began with an introduction to Lake Hamilton Fire & Rescue Board President Wayne Roberts.  Mr. Roberts explained the definition of ISO / Insurance Ratings, the present rating of ‘5’, with the desire to go down to a ‘4’.  The lower the rating the better equipped the fire department.  This means:
  • Access to a ready water source
  • Ladder trucks ($1 million each)
  • Man Power
Currently the fire department maintains 3 people on duty during day time hours
The fire that took place last Sunday, April 13th on Independence Drive would have cost the homeowner $8-9,000.00 for the service provided by LHFD if they had not paid their fire dues this year.
