Town Meeting ~ May 17, 2017

Meeting opened just after 7:pm with the announcement that Diane Porterfield will be filling the Board position recently vacated by Dan Hodson.

Financial Highlights ~ Finance Chairman John Porter:  click on picture to enlarge

Beautification Committee ~ Martha Lindvall explained the desire of the committee to paint or beautify the propane tank which sets in the lawn beside the country club. No fencing is allowed due to the need for accessibility.

By-Laws Committee ~ Liaison Martha Lindvall:  The proposed revision to the DHPOA is ready to be presented to the Board of Directors for review.  The committee held two meetings where the diligent effort of two previous By-Laws committees was perused for content and accuracy.  Thank you for the tremendous work done by dedicated members of our community.

• The Proposed Revision to the DPOA By-Laws will be available for review by Diamondhead community as soon as it has been approved by the Board and reviewed by the DPOA attorney. 
• The July Ballot will contain the Proposed By-Law revision to be voted on by the membership.
• Members will be asked to vote separately for or against each proposed change….Article by Article.
• Members will be able to compare the current version with the proposed change(s).

Safety Committee ~ Next meeting will be held on May 31^st.

Roads ~ A letter has been sent out to five (5) contractors for the purpose of obtaining bids for this year’s road repair and resurfacing.  The scope of the work was described.  For a copy of this letter, please contact the POA office:  262-4470

Anniversary Committee ~ Debbie Clement presented an update regarding plans for Diamondhead’s 50^th anniversary.  If you are interested in becoming involved in this exciting event, please contact Debbie: debbie.clement@hotmail.com   276-2582
