Community Standards Committee – Rick Noffsinger, Chairman
Chairman Rick Noffsinger explained the process the Standards Committee took in establishing the revised Rules & Regulations. We started with the Bill of Assurance, and continued by dividing up into 3 smaller groups who went out into the community for research. The committee reconvened 2 weeks later to combine information and discuss results. The Community Standards was presented to each Board member a week ago. Rick asked that the revised Community Standards be approved as written.
President Massey expressed his appreciation to the committee. Jim Hannon asked if the ACC approved of these new regulations. Jack Watson, Liaison for the ACC and member of the Standards Committee, stated that the chairman of the ACC (Dan Munroe) would be willing to follow any recommendations set out by the Board.
Golf Committee – Betts Winsor
Deotis Cotton was commended for his great work with the Volunteer Marshals Program.
Nominating Committee – Jim Hannon
“We are always looking for ‘A few good men or women’” to run for the Board. The current candidates are: Katherine Denow, Faye Taylor, JoAnn Rhodes, Byron Efird, Rick Noffsinger. The last day for sign up is 5:pm April 14th. Candidate’s night will be Thursday June 16th. Ballots will be mailed out on/or before July 1st, to be returned by August 1st. They will be counted as according to the by-laws approximately 7 days prior to the Annual meeting, which will be held on Saturday, August 20th at 7:30pm.
Public Safety Committee
President Massey explained that the Public Safety Committee was making some good recommendations to the Board.
Roads Committee
President Massey informed us that the Roads Committee is waiting for the moneys to come in to get started.
General Information
Sales Tax dispute – The attorney has been hired. Mr Brochett has received all the information. The POA attorney, Jonathan Jones, feels confident that the April 22nd hearing will go well. Mr. Massey stated, “We’ve got the facts.” “We will win this thing!” See post dated 2-18-11
ACPC - Arkansas Coalition of Planned Communities has met together for community support and planning. GM Eric Markle is representing Diamondhead in a strong way.
Advertising Diamondhead – Eric Markle was in Morrilton, Arkansas this morning to cook breakfast for 75 people. “We raised almost $700.00 for the Conway County House, which is a half-way house in Morrilton. Eric wore his Diamondhead shirt and golf cap, serving as a representative of Diamondhead. Eric has many more ideas for promoting Diamondhead, including Relay for Life. Bark for Life will be held tomorrow.

Police Officer Joel Tyner graduated today from the police academy in Camden, Arkansas. He is now a full time police officer for Diamondhead!!
