Treasurer’s Report – Tom Lockette
Paraphrased: We finally have a month that looks pretty good. Todd started and Sarah is continuing to cut costs. Please see Financial Highlights posted. 19th Hole – a big improvement. Gross profit margin up to 66% 13,341.00 which more than paid for salaries and food costs. The Guys and Dolls Tournament made money, as well as making money for the 19th Hole."One last item: There has been concern as to how our cash flow would play out toward the end of the year. We have a new cash flow analysis that shows we will level out at the end of the year. So, it looks like what we saw in September with the things we have going on the rest of the year, keeping a real close watch on everything that we are going to get by okay this year. That cash flow analysis does not take into account the $41,000 in contingency funds that we hold back in case of emergencies. I think we can safely say that we are going to get through this year without borrowing money thanks to the fine work that has been done by our employees.
ACC –
No new permits since the last Town meeting. Still revising the ACC Rules & Regulations, this should be presented to the Board soon.
Beautification Committee – Judy Thye

- Lots of help is needed for the Christmas decorations
- Santa will be in the Club House this year.
- Next meeting will be the 2nd Tuesday of November.

- Continuing to look at more cuts. “But, I would not be surprised if we have to have a raise in the maintenance fees of something like 20, 30 or 40 dollars.”

Golf Committee – Byron Efird
- Fire Wood is available – Split, staked, & delivered for $150. Half cord/ $85
- The geese and armadillo problem is being addressed
- Membership is down
- Kevin Woodrow has resigned as chairman of the Golf Committee. Many thanks were expressed for the many years of service.
- Deotis Cotton is the new Golf Committee chairman
- Police Chief Joel Tyner reported on the Coyote problem in Diamondhead
- Rick Noffsinger: “I have never seen coyotes as aggressive as they are here in Diamondhead. I have personally seen two big coyotes take down a full grown deer. When you are walking at night by yourself, or with small children, be alert. We do have a problem. These coyotes that I saw are not your normal, everyday coyote. They have been cross-breed with some other large dog. They are wild. We are addressing the issue. Keep your pets inside at night. They are coming into your yards at night and in the day time. I am telling you to be cautious.”

1. Marquee donated by the Lions Club will be placed on the Rock Wall next to the Tiki.
2. ACC Committee will be addressing a residence on Plum Hollow regarding infringement on DH roadways. The GM will handle this issue.
3. Cart Path fund has $3500. The Four Seasons & Bill Milligan have volunteered their services to ensure this project is completed. Tom Lockette / Treasurer cautioned against spending the money at this time.
4. 19th Hole had a break-in where $500 was taken. The locks have been changed at the 19th Hole. 4 keys now exist. A security system is being investigated.
5. Fuel Usage: All employees are being told to use the gasoline provided on the property, eliminating the credit card expense.
6. ACC Resolutions & Amendments: Conflict of 2 variances – one must be rescinded. Second issue regarding RV Parking - See post dated October 9/30/11
7. Cart Use / Annual Contracts – Belvedeer is trying to stay open until Jan. 1st of 2012. In the last 2 months we have gained 4 new memberships, one being a family membership.

9. Finance update: The 19th Hole paid for labor and food costs this month. The 19th Hole paid for itself! One of our biggest money losers is the Buffet. By November 1st breakfast will be served by menu only.
Jerry Chambliss Update: “we are currently in a holding pattern and cases of this size are slow to progress and tedious in nature. This is based upon the insurance company's review of our claim for coverage. I am still awaiting a return call from Mr. Hazzard as to same and as soon as I receive an update, I will relay it to you (Sarah Dawson) and Rick immediately. Jonathan Jones – attorney for Diamondhead
10. Coffee in Pro Shop: coffee will be available in the Pro Shop starting November 1st. The 19th Hole will be locked.
11. Diamondhead Information Line: Byron Efird explained that residents may call to obtain information regarding events in DH by listening to a recording that is updated as needed.

13. Tom Lockette announced his resignation as Treasurer / Board Member of Diamondhead.
This ended the main portion of the Town Meeting.
Discussion followed regarding Betts Winsor being absent from the Town meeting, and the issue surrounding Todd Belz leaving as Diamondhead’s golf pro. Many heart felt emotions were expressed, as well as, clarification of the specific events. Suffice it to say that the information previously posted is accurate. I would be doing a disservice to this community if I attempted to relay any of this discussion. This is a very good reason why it is always best to attend the Town Meeting in person.
