Meeting Minutes

In keeping
with the purpose of the committee as described in the committee charter, Sharon
Carr and Diane Porterfield toured the community to review the condition of
properties previously reported for noncompliance with “Diamondhead Community
Standards Rules and Regulations.”
Additionally, these two committee members noted additional properties
and common areas, not previously cited, that were also determined to be not in
compliance with community standards. The
findings from this tour are as follows:
Personal Property in Violation of Rule/Regulation #1999-01-14C (Parking of vehicles not used for personal/family transportation)

1. Diamondhead Drive
“No vehicle used for commercial
purposes….shall be stored in a residential area or on common grounds other than
for the purpose of accommodating work on the premises.”
2. Morningside Drive
“No derelict vehicle (any motorized
vehicle inoperable for a period of more than 30 days) shall be stored on a
private lot or common ground except in a garage.”
3. Pebble Beach
“No blue or bright color boat tarps
are allowed.”
Personal Property in Violation of
Rule/Regulation #1995-5-13 (Right of Way)
1. Palmer Ct.
“It shall be impermissible to park
boats, trailers, or RVs….in a designated right of way area.”
2. Two locations on Diamondhead Drive

1. Tam-O-Shanter
“All building material not incidental
to an ongoing construction project, appliance, household items and other
similar items not designed or intended for outside storage shall be kept in
completely enclosed buildings.”
“Exterior premises including
sidewalks, driveways and carports, porches, walkways, stairs, parking spaces,
and similar areas not completely enclosed shall be maintained free from
hazardous conditions, building materials, appliances, household items, rubbish,
debris, or other similar items.”
2. Pebble Beach
“Exterior premises including
sidewalks, driveways and carports, porches, walkways, stairs, parking spaces,
and similar areas not completely enclosed shall be maintained free from
hazardous conditions, building materials, appliances, household items, rubbish,

Common Areas
in Violation of Rules/Regulations #2003-2-13
1. Santa’s House
“All developed properties shall be
maintained free from grasses in excess of ten inches, and other vegetation,
plants, trees and shrubs shall be kept in a neatly trimmed manner…”
2. Front Gate Entrance
“All developed properties shall be maintained free from
grasses in excess of ten inches, and other vegetation, plants, trees and shrubs
shall be kept in a neatly trimmed manner…”
Common Areas
in Violation of Rules/regulations #2004-26-17
1. Volley Ball Net and Supports on Springbrook Drive
“All property owners are encouraged
to keep their lots in a neat and tidy manner.”
A report of
these findings of noncompliance with accompanying photographs was forwarded to
Buddy Hudson, The Diamondhead General Manager.
Subsequently, Buddy advised the community standards committee chairman
that letters were sent to property owners regarding the violation with a
request for corrective action.
The
Community Standards Committee members will meet November 16, 2012 to determine
if these properties now meet compliance.
Those properties for which corrective measures have not been taken will
again be reported to the Diamondhead General Manager with a request for
follow-up. Additionally, the committee
members will also review language in the community standards document to
possibly suggest the revision of the initial section of the document regarding
banning parking of boats, RVs, motor homes, etc. on any residential property in
excess of 72 hours.
