ACC Meeting September 11, 2017 Diamondhead Library
Dave opened the meeting at 9:56 am.
Attendance: Sharon Carr, John Porter, Steve Hildebrand, Dana Olivier.
Dave turned the floor over to Margie from Blue Moon Const. Margie passed out the plot plan, contractor list, elevation drawings and floor plan for a new home on Lakewood Pt. The committee reviewed the plans and Margie answered all questions. The roof color came into question and Margie later called the POA office and left the information with Jeanie. Roof color was compliant. Committee passed unanimously.
The GM had asked for the committee to review several ideas he was entertaining. Garden Homes and smaller homes to be used as an RV base for full time RV travelers. It was noted that the Bill of Assurances would need to be addressed to specify a variance for lower square footage. 600 sq.ft. was proposed for the RV homes. However if the RV garage was heated it could be considered living area and would then be in compliance. The base idea is to group these homes around a cul-de sac so like homes are in one area. The committee was in favor of pursuing the idea. Tabled at this time.
The permit list was reviewed and updated. 1015, 1035, 1050 all have issues with inspections. Dave will call the inspector and review the issues. It was also suggested that the contractors that are not calling for inspections be black balled from working in DH. The contractors in question was Nulife and AAA. After review with the inspector Dave will follow up with a letter to the GM. Steve updated the committee on 1048. Work stopped for non-payment. Committee recommends to not renew the permit when it expires on 9/14/17.
Meeting adjourned at 10:56am.
