We had an unfortunate situation occur Friday night at the Country Club. Apparently there were altercations that happened inside the Club that started a large fight outside the Club in the parking lot. The altercations did not take place in the 19th Hole. From what I have been informed it started in the big room at the Country Club and continued to progress outside in the front parking lot.
Someone dialed 911 and we had several Officers from the outside come to our assistance. Joel was notified immediately and arrived on site the same time the other Officers arrived. I am writing this memo to be posted in the blog due to the fact everyone who reads it will get the word out to others.

We do not have all the facts as of yet. Joel will be interviewing everyone that was involved and we will get the outside reports from the other Officers that came to assist. This is something that will take more than just a few days to resolve. The Board has been notified and we will wait for Joel’s full report before we can act on any of this. We have scheduled an executive session for Dec. 21st, 7:00 PM. This should give the GM and the Chief of Police plenty of time to get all the information together that will be presented to the Board. Until this has been resolved I will recommend to the GM and our Chief of Police that anyone that had any type of participation in this will need to stay away from the Country Club until the Board has the opportunity to hear everything. This is temporary to keep any further altercations from happening. In all fairness to everyone we would appreciate it if they hold their comments and pre-judged statements until we have the chance to listen to the Chief’s reports. I know that some expect this to be settled faster, but we will not rush to judgment until we have all the facts. A lot of the participants have jobs and will have to be contacted in the evenings. According to what has been reported a lot of people that live outside of Diamondhead were part of this . This will take time and be done properly. We would appreciate anyone that knows something or saw something to contact Joel Tyner.

Please be patient. Thank you.
Rick Noffsinger
