The finance committee chairman Don Oseroff presented an overview of the budget for 2012-2013. The proposed budget reduces the capital expenditure for roads by 50% from last year. He stated that this budget will require constant monitoring and cautioned the board to work closely with the finance committee and seek its guidance before any capital expenditure is made. Much discussion was centered on the golf course and the 19th Hole. There is major concern of the finance committee concerning the cost of sales and gross profit of the 19th Hole. A point of sale cash register which will better monitor purchases and receipts has been recommended by the finance committee. Pricing and other pertinent information will be given to the board before the Town Meeting and will be an item of discussion. Overall the meeting was positive in nature. The finance committee will work with the General Manager and the 19th Hole Manager on reviewing costs, prices, and procedures.
