Report from Wildlife Committee:
Mike McFarland is the Chairperson for this committee.   In his absence Rick Noffsinger provided this report.  The Wildlife Committee has 20 members. Up from 15 last year. The committee works closely with the Arkansas State Game & Fish. It was recommended a quota of 35 deer be taken this year from Diamondhead. This is a mixture of bucks and does.  The committee has assigned different hunting areas to the members.  Bow hunting only.  Some residents believe that the gun fire and poaching comes from this committee membership.  This membership is not part of this illegal behavior, they actually assist with keeping poaching to a minimum.  This committee has been  successful in generating healthy deer in Diamondhead and they have made many contributions to Diamondhead. Last year they purchased the patrol unit that our Chief currently uses. In the past they have purchased uniforms and replacement of another maintenance truck that was damaged due to storms.  The current Wildlife Committee has demonstrated to be a great asset to this community.  Mike will  provide a report to the Board at the next town meeting.
Rick Noffsinger

Discussion ensued regarding the geese population.

Point of Sale System is now in use in the 19th Hole.

8 Video cameras are needed to cover additional areas around the Club House.  Example:  Cart Barn and library.   A while back there were two gentlemen who volunteered funds to pay for these cameras.  This is a good time to step forward, again.

19th Hole employees will be wearing black or red shirts as uniforms while ‘on the job’.  They will change shirts when they are no longer working.

The Board of Directors met Wednesday, 9-19-12, to begin the process of going through the applicants for the general manager position.  Monday will be the first interview.  This process is expected to take about 2 weeks.

Children’s Room is proposed for the small room across from the library.  The storage items will be moved into the planned storage area behind the library.

Tennis Court / Basketball Courts  ~  Discussion regarding locking the gates to avoid vandalism.  The Youth Committee hopes to refurbish the basketball courts and resurfacing the Tennis court.

Pebble Beach entrance gate is a possibility in our future.  The old gate that sustained damage and replaced by insurance, has been repaired and is available for use.  Remote activators were suggested in this case.  This may cost $4 -5 thousand.

Front Gate Fountain is repaired and ready to go.  “Why has it not been filled up with water?”  Joe Claflin – “Good question”

New resident suggested POA office personnel be more helpful when obtaining car stickers and other orientation procedures.

THE BLOG:   Kathie DeVilbiss commented on the name of the Diamondhead Committee Report.  This has Diamondhead’s name but is not sanctioned by Diamondhead.  “It is just gossip.”
After the meeting Kathie and I discussed this issue privately.  I challenged Kathie to find any “gossip” on The Blog.   We viewed The Blog together looking for “gossip”.  None was found.

Court Case Update:  Resident Bankruptcy Case will be held on Dec. 12, 2012
Chambliss vs. Ensgminger vs. DPOA will be held on June 18th, 2013

Mr. Ken Benck brought to the attention of the Board problems regarding golf carts on private property and misconduct by golfers; carts that drive right up on the green, marshals are needed to patrol the course.  The pro shop is not keeping records of who is renting the various carts.  Are all the rules the same for men, women, and children?  Answer: they should be the same.  President Claflin told them to call the police.
