Agenda Meeting ~ 4-11-13

Suzzi opened the meeting by asking for Committee information.

Golf Committee – Faye Taylor:  Presented the golf committee’s recommendation for fee increase.  See Post dated 4-11-13  Golf Committee Proposal 

Jack Watson will present an alternative plan at the Town meeting.

Public Safety Committee – Diane Porterfield:  Presented recommendations for Long Range planning, Security Gate enhancements, and Police Activity 2013 Report.  Each of these reports can be found on the Members Only Page.

DH Community News / The Blog

• Encouragement to move completely toward ‘Members Only’
• Board members stated: Sharing information on the Blog should be promoting Diamondhead.  “A Board member’s responsibility is to present Diamondhead in a positive way.”
• Diane Porterfield:  “No, my responsibility as a board member is to present the truth to the membership; good or bad.”

Community Standards Committee – Diane Porterfield:  Clarification was needed regarding the committee charter.  The charter specifies ‘complaint forms’ should be researched by the committee.  It was noted that a drive around the community was needed, as well.  The Board consensus: agreed to the need to monitor the community by periodic inspections.

A list of properties was noted as needing immediate attention &/or fines levied.

Architectural Control Committee – Jack Watson:  Noted an ACC resolution that needs to be updated / changed.  This will be brought before the Board on April 25^th.

Security Gate Fee Proposal – GM Buddy Hudson:  Proposal was explained in detail regarding the need for updating and possible user fees involved.  This proposal will be presented to the community at the Town meeting.

H2 status / re plat request – Rick Noffsinger:  Cemetery location on Rick’s property presents a unique situation.

Status of Legal Issues – Joe Claflin:  Joe passed out information received from Attorney Jonathan Jones.  Areas of concern were noted.
